Summary

The third novel in the Ice Planet Barbarians series, an international publishing phenomenon—now in a special print edition with bonus materials and an exclusive epilogue!

Kira plans on remaining single on this alien planet—she doesn’t want a mate anyway。 At least, that’s what she tells herself。 But when Aehako comes along, everything changes。 。 。 。

As one of the humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home。 Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he’s interested in me。 It’s hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako when I long to grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs。

But I’ve got a terrible secret—a few of them, actually。 I’m convinced that Aehako can never love me if he knows the full truth。 More worryingly, the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me。 My presence here endangers everyone 。 。 。 but can I give up my new life and the man I desire more than anything? And will he even want me if he knows my secrets?

RTC soon but Aehako 🥹 this book reminded me so much of The Friend Zone, but the blue alien version 💙

I think this one has had the most tolerable MC so far。

These books are well written but I'm finding myself losing interest a bit in the premise and feeling like things are a bit repetitive in the series。 These books are well written but I'm finding myself losing interest a bit in the premise and feeling like things are a bit repetitive in the series。 。。。more

Kira who has the translator implant has not resonated yet but has an ardent admirer in Aehako。She happens to catch some chatter from the aliens who stole them on the implant and tries to get as far away from the tribe as possible to not lead them back there。 Aehako volunteers to join them with a few others。It starts to get steamy between Kira and Aehako with the one fur and all。 I love how the khui just fixes everything。 Some $hit goes down and Harlow goes to get supplies and never comes back。 S Kira who has the translator implant has not resonated yet but has an ardent admirer in Aehako。She happens to catch some chatter from the aliens who stole them on the implant and tries to get as far away from the tribe as possible to not lead them back there。 Aehako volunteers to join them with a few others。It starts to get steamy between Kira and Aehako with the one fur and all。 I love how the khui just fixes everything。 Some $hit goes down and Harlow goes to get supplies and never comes back。 So you know I had to go to KU and see what happened!Thank you berkleyromance and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review。 。。。more

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite thus far。 Compared to Georgie and Liz, Kira was just not the main character I was hoping for。 I still enjoyed the world these books take place in and the spice (can’t go wrong with that) but I found myself skimming towards the end。 I liked that the author finally went back to including those original aliens, but the confrontation could’ve been much more eventful。 Overall, it wasn’t bad but I didn’t love it either。

Would this be considered a slow burn? Not complaint by any means。 Way better than the first two books where the porn was INSTANT, so a little character building was the perfect… well… foreplay 😂😂😂

Red the new edition, and it was very good。 Also the after word cleared up a great deal of issues I saw people had as comments over here。Very entertaining。 And bit more action in this one makes is a good sci fi romance

Poor Kira, worrying she's bringing the bad guys down on all of her friends, trying to save Aehaeko from himself and heartbreak。 Bad aliens come back to try to ruin the good things happening, and then the human girl saves the day! I。。。I think I have a blue alien problem。 It's like crack and my brain is mush now。This one was generally interesting。 I think Kira stood out as a character in the previous books because of her language abilities, so I was more drawn to her story。 While their romance didn't exactly feel special, I really liked the MMC, Aehako。 He was more of a sunshine sort of guy, while the other MMCs were more grumpy。 I actually liked the plot in this one the most, since it builds upon the conflict of the first I。。。I think I have a blue alien problem。 It's like crack and my brain is mush now。This one was generally interesting。 I think Kira stood out as a character in the previous books because of her language abilities, so I was more drawn to her story。 While their romance didn't exactly feel special, I really liked the MMC, Aehako。 He was more of a sunshine sort of guy, while the other MMCs were more grumpy。 I actually liked the plot in this one the most, since it builds upon the conflict of the first book, and has some fun action scenes。 IDK why but I love action scenes in my romance。 。。。more

Ok to be fair school delayed me from reading this book soooo I’m almost positive I forgot a lot of the things that happened。 However I do remember it had a good story line and continuous plot that didn’t have any holes or dips where it got boring I just had to stop reading it caus of work stuff。 I really liked the characters in this one and how they both have to face a traumatic event and get through it。 They’re not my fav characters because their traits seem to be overused a bit but that’s ok。 Ok to be fair school delayed me from reading this book soooo I’m almost positive I forgot a lot of the things that happened。 However I do remember it had a good story line and continuous plot that didn’t have any holes or dips where it got boring I just had to stop reading it caus of work stuff。 I really liked the characters in this one and how they both have to face a traumatic event and get through it。 They’re not my fav characters because their traits seem to be overused a bit but that’s ok。 I do want to read the next book but it might not be right away I gotta long list now for summer。 。。。more

⭐️⭐️⭐️。5/5I think my new all time hated trope in romance novels is when the heroine is infertile and thinks their life is pointless/they have nothing to offer their partner/life isn't worth living because they are broken/a failure。 Not to be confused with heroines who are sad/upset that they cannot have children, that's okay (to a certain extent, it's still not my favorite trope)。 I just dislike when the narrative is "women are good for nothing but making babies and since I can't make a baby I d ⭐️⭐️⭐️。5/5I think my new all time hated trope in romance novels is when the heroine is infertile and thinks their life is pointless/they have nothing to offer their partner/life isn't worth living because they are broken/a failure。 Not to be confused with heroines who are sad/upset that they cannot have children, that's okay (to a certain extent, it's still not my favorite trope)。 I just dislike when the narrative is "women are good for nothing but making babies and since I can't make a baby I don't deserve to live on this planet i failed humanity and no man will want me。" 🤢Kira was more on the side of what I don't like。 However, I was really intrigued by the other plot points in this book especially once she got back to the old ship。 So rounding up to 4 stars。 。。。more

This has to be my favorite so far!! I find each girl more relatable than the next and I finally understand the Aehako hype。 Lovely, charming, and dashing this book has it all。 I am fearful for the future of certain cliffhangers, but isn't that they're purpose in life? The third installment of the Ice Planet Barbarians novels goes into deeper depth with the world building, but we weren't thrilled with some of the choices。 First, what we liked:1。 It was nice to see a pairing that wasn't forced by the fated mates/khui2。 Kira's anxieties and worries felt authentic, especially when compared to some of the other books' idealization of finding your perfect blue mate and forgetting the rest of the world3。 The deeper understanding of what exactly "resonance" is and ho The third installment of the Ice Planet Barbarians novels goes into deeper depth with the world building, but we weren't thrilled with some of the choices。 First, what we liked:1。 It was nice to see a pairing that wasn't forced by the fated mates/khui2。 Kira's anxieties and worries felt authentic, especially when compared to some of the other books' idealization of finding your perfect blue mate and forgetting the rest of the world3。 The deeper understanding of what exactly "resonance" is and how it's related to fertilityWe were not in love with how these tropes played out [SPOILERS!]:(view spoiler)[1。 Turns out that Kira and Aehako ARE fated mates after all。。。2。 。。。 because the khui fixed her fertility issues! (hide spoiler)]It was also tough to read about the other (sa-khui) woman who kept coming on to Aehako。 Apparently she was already "mated," but then lost her baby。 On the one hand, this is a new, more nuanced understanding of how "fated mates" works in the IPB world: apparently it's just for baby-making, and then you can go your separate ways。 But on the other hand, we see a "native woman" being rejected for young, (white) human women and treated as the villain of the story (and this is a story where there are actual villainous, murderous aliens)。 The IPB world continues to get more of an expansive treatment, which is fun, and hopefully future entries in the series will utilize it for more inclusive storylines。41-Word Summaries:Laine: The girl with the alien tracker in her head finally prioritizes getting it out in the third book as the weather turns terrible increasing the danger ten-fold。 All the risk of "Timer" but with more infertility and extremely dangerous alien revenge。 Meg: The best part about being stranded on an ice planet with sexy giant blue double-dicked aliens and having a symbiont that makes your eyes glow implanted into your body? (view spoiler)[The miracle infertility cure snagging you the perfect fated mate, of course! I liked it better than the last 2。 It goes without saying that the story is intriguing enough for me to continue。 But I cannot in good faith rate any of them highly。 This one went downhill around the 60% mark。 Same as the first one, conflict and tensions were resolved way too quickly。 Towards the end, one of the girls goes missing and everyone just moves on??? She's the lead of the next one so at least we get an explanation。 But based on what I know so far, I think I'm going to have the same pro I liked it better than the last 2。 It goes without saying that the story is intriguing enough for me to continue。 But I cannot in good faith rate any of them highly。 This one went downhill around the 60% mark。 Same as the first one, conflict and tensions were resolved way too quickly。 Towards the end, one of the girls goes missing and everyone just moves on??? Is this an addiction? I don’t know and yet here am I in the third book in the series。 Even though it did delivered what it was supposed to deliver, I can’t help but notice the poor choices the other characters made toward Harlow and how they blame her for it?! To be honest, I’m starting to think I don’t like Vektal that much anymore considering how he voices his opinions and how he acts towards others that I kind of find unacceptable for him to do so。 Yes I know he is the chief but come on, the Is this an addiction? Oh my gosh, can we all agree that Aehako is the best?! <3What a sweetheart!!!! I loved his love for his sad Kira。 <3I didn't love the alien kidnapers returning plot-line so much。 It felt kind of quick?

I like a good erotic sci-fi/fantasy story just like the next person but put some substance into the storyline。 It has the potential and some of the characters were very interesting but they did not develop and laid flat。 I’ll try another book in the series just to see perhaps this was a run off。
